High School Preview Day — Class of 2030

Wednesday, March 4 | 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM | CWC Campus

What is High School really like at CWC?  The transition from middle school to high school can sometimes make 8th grade students nervous. Our High School Preview Day is designed to help 8th grade students step into high school with confidence. Students from CWC and surrounding schools will have the opportunity to experience classes, worship, and community while getting a real look at what freshman year at CWC will look like.

Why Preview Day?

Starting high school is a big step. Rather than wondering what changes are coming next year, on Preview Day, 8th grade students will have the chance to get to know our schedules, staff, students, and all of the great activities and opportunities they will have as a high school student.

During Preview Day, students will:

  • Meet teachers, students, and Student Council hosts
Build relationships right away with the people who make up the CWC high school community and get a feel for what daily life is like.
  • Visit real high school classes
Sit in on classes, see how learning looks at the high school level, and experience the expectations of freshman coursework.
  • Experience worship as a high school community
Join together in worship and see how faith, learning, and community are woven into daily life at CWC.
  • Explore clubs, sports, and co-curricular opportunities at the Activities Fair
The Activities Fair is a highlight of the day, giving students the chance to walk from table to table, talk with coaches, teachers, and students, and discover the many clubs, sports, courses, and leadership opportunities available in high school. Whether students already know their interests or are still exploring, the fair helps them imagine where they might belong and how they can get involved.
  • Ask honest questions during the student panel
Hear directly from current high school students about classes, friendships, activities, and the transition to high school—and ask the questions that matter most.

  • 8th graders from surrounding schools and homeschool students

Students from schools across the area who are exploring high school options are welcome to attend as well! Preview day will offer students an authentic look at CWC faith integration, academics, student life, and much more.
