Until now, communicating with school has been a challenge. You are expected to communicate by email with some people, some by text, others through apps you had to download separately. With communication set up like this, it is easy to lose or completely miss important information.

So now we are making a change that will bring everything together so you don't have to worry about missing a thing. 

 

But What Is ParentSquare?

ParentSquare is a new communication platform that will allow for more streamlined and consistent communication to our CWC community – parents, teachers, staff and wider community members. ParentSquare is available online and has a convenient mobile app. With ParentSquare, you can directly communicate with teachers, find school and classroom announcements in one convenient location and choose your notification preference (text/email/frequency).

How to Get Started in Under 2 Minutes
  • Look for your ParentSquare invitation in your email
  • Click the link and set up your account
  • Download the ParentSquare app (optional but recommended)
  • Choose your preferred notification settings

FAQs

Why do we need ParentSquare?  

ParentSquare will allow us to put all communication in one easy to access location. No more trying to remember “Did I see that on Facebook? Or was it an email?” ParentSquare will be your one stop shop for announcements. Even better? It employs a search function for easier use of the platform.  

We recognize the importance of frequent, quality communication with our parents. ParentSquare will help us achieve that with our CWC families. 
 

When will ParentSquare be live? 

Our school and classrooms will begin using ParentSquare for communication on January 26, 2025.

How do I sign up?  

On January 26, CWC will send out information to access ParentSquare via desktop and the free mobile app. 

Will ParentSquare replace FACTS? 

Parent Square is not replacing FACTS for enrollment, grades, tuition or lunch accounts.  

What kind of information can I find in ParentSquare? 

School-wide announcements, the Crusader Weekly, sign up forms, permission slips, classroom newsletters, photos, directory, calendar and links to frequently used resources. 

What are the default notification settings? How can I change those? 

The customizable features of ParentSquare will allow you to decide when and how you receive communication. You can change these settings by selecting your profile > Manage Account > Notification Setting. 

  • The Instant setting will send all post notifications in real-time.
  • The Digest setting will send all posts for the day in one single digest at the end of the day (recommended.) 

Direct messages, alerts and time-sensitive posts will be delivered instantly. You can also choose to turn off notifications (excluding emergency alerts and notices). 

Will I be able to communicate with teachers directly? 

If you are a registered user of ParentSquare, you will be able to directly message teachers with questions. Teachers will also have the ability to directly message parents about student concerns. 

What about coaches? 

Yes! Coaches will have groups designated for each team. You will have the ability to direct message your child’s coach and receive announcements that affect your team’s schedule.

What if I want to see only the information that involves my child’s class or team? 

You will be automatically added to groups specific to your child(ren) including their classes, sports teams and education level (Elementary / Middle School / High School). You will have the option to join additional groups within ParentSquare based on your preferences.

Can grandparents sign up for ParentsSquare to stay informed of school activities or announcements? 

They sure can! We want our grandparents to stay up to date on all the latest in their grandchildren’s classrooms and school activities. We recognize not all grandparents may be comfortable with this process.

 Watch for additional invites for parents and grandparents to stop into school for extra help getting signed up and using the platform.  

I miss the old class Facebook groups for sharing classroom photos. Does ParentSquare allow for photo sharing? 

Yes! ParentSquare gives teachers the ability to easily upload and share photos from classroom activities, field trips and much more. 

Starting January 26, what will be available in ParentSquare, what will I use FACTS for, and what is being phased out/changing? 
Can we expect any other communication changes coming in the future? 

We are in the process of redesigning our website to integrate with ParentSquare and allow for easier use by parents and prospective families. We anticipate launching the website in the summer of 2026. More details to come
