MY DEEP HOPE:
That you USE the ABILITIES God has given you to glorify Him in the life He has called you to live as his workmanship.
Years at CWC:
2016 - Present
Education:
BA in Biology, Minor in Chemistry - Carthage College,1998
Educational Experience:
Prior to coming to CWC in 2016, I worked as a substitute teacher for both the public and Christian schools in Randolph. Around this time I became very passionate about helping students who have learning disabilities or who struggle with school in general. CWC was offering a Paraprofessional position in their Junior High and I felt as if the Lord was calling me into this area. Since coming to CWC I have served in a variety of roles including Long-Term Substitute Teaching for the HS Sciences. This year I again welcome the role of teacher, filling in as an Algebra 1 and Geometry teacher. I continue with my Paraprofessional duties but specialize more in the math and sciences. It has been a great joy of mine to work with the other ESS personnel at CWC as we try to bridge the gap of learning to include all students.
Family:
I have been married since 1998 to Joel Bartlett. We live in Randolph with our 4 children; Joshua, Abigail, Micah and Isaac. As a family, we have been passionate about Christian education. All of our children have attended or are currently attending Randolph Christian, prior to coming to high school at CWC. Joshua is a graduate of Dordt University where he obtained his associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology. He currently works at Johnsonville Brats in Watertown, WI. Abigail is a sophomore at Maranatha Baptist University majoring in Early Elementary Education. Micah is a senior at CWC and my youngest, Isaac, is a freshman this year. I enjoy traveling, hiking, quilting and spending time with my family.
Why I Love Working at CWC:
I have been so blessed to work at CWC these past six years. The students have made my experience extraordinary. I have wonderful memories working with many of the students. Some of the best moments are when students grasp concepts and do well despite the struggles they have had in the past. I love that CWC has provided an inclusive environment for all learners and that we recognize all students have God given gifts to share.
Favorite Bible Passage:
Proverbs 3:5-6 - “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” This is my favorite Bible verse because I often fail to trust in the Lord and instead rely on myself. It is a good reminder that God is in control and he wants what is best for us. We just need to acknowledge his plan for our lives and be obedient to follow it.
