Art Teacher (Middle School & High School)
Deep Hope: “Serving God by growing creativity that sparks joy in us and blesses others.”
Years at CWC: My first year: 2022-2023 school year!
Education: Art Education (K-12) University of Wisconsin Platteville (2003)
Educational Experience: My career has gone through many “chapters!” I began as a K-12 art teacher at DeLand-Weldon School in central Illinois, next was a stay-at-home mom for many years, then taught part-time at St. Stephen Lutheran School in Horicon, and lastly spent the past 5 years full time with the Waupun Area School District at Rock River Intermediate and SAGES.
Family: My husband of 18 years, Chad, is a mechanical engineer at John Deere Horicon Works. We live in Horicon with our three children: Ella (16), Abigail(13), and Sawyer(11). Together we are working to build our own “tiny house living” cabin in Lyndon Station, WI. It keeps us busy!
We attend Harvest Church in Beaver Dam where I serve as a High School youth group leader and VBS volunteer.
Why I love working at CWC: I am excited for this next chapter in my life to begin so that I am free to share my faith with my students and bring Christ into my classroom without hesitation. I already feel at home here.
Favorite Bible Verse: “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2
“Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness.”
