Wisconsin Private College Week

Save the dates! Wisconsin Private College Week, July 8-13, 2019.  Wisconsin  has 24 private, nonprivate colleges adn universities each with their own unique campus culture and academic opportunities.  Students and their family members are invited to tour as many campuses as theya re able to pack into the joint open house week.  Sutdnet visitors who complete evaluates at teh end of a tour will be entered into a contest to win an iPad - the more campuses they visit, the greater their chances of winning.  Visits will include tours, of academic and living facilities, speak with admissions, academic and financial aid personnel, as well as try the food.  Register online to set up visits at www.WisconsinPrivateColleges.org/visit.

Summer Volunteer Opportunities at Agnesian.

Students interested in volunteering during the summer should go to Agnesian.com/volunteer and then click on the orange "Student Volunteer Summer Opportunities" box. Natural Resources Careers Exploration Week (June 16-21)

Students interested in potential outdoor career.  Students will work with natural resource professionals, hands-on outdoor skills and experiences, exposure to outdoor careers and information about colleges that help with those type of careers.  For more information and to apply visit TreesForTomorrow.com The cost of this is $200/person, which includes instructions, materials, 5 nights lodging adn 15 meals. There are scholarships and financial aid available as well.

Marian College Launches 3 Year Nursing program

This program will begin during the fall fo 2019.  The 3 year nursing program will include 2 summer sessions.  For more information visit the website.

Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy

WALLECA is for students who are interested in a career in law enforcement. 50 cadets will be chosen to attend WALLECA. WALLECA consists of class room instruction and physical training. Some of the classes are Crime Scene Investigation, Computer Crimes, Firearms Training, Ethics, Tactical Response and many more. The physical training portion of the academy is required. The academy instructors are current or retired law enforcement professionals.

WALLECA will be held at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy at Fort McCoy from June 24 – 28, 2019.  The cadets will stay in the academy dormitory. All meals are included.  Registration will be Monday, June 24 at 10:00am, dismissal will be Friday, June 28 in the afternoon after the graduation ceremony. Graduating cadets will be able to invite family and friends to attend the graduation ceremony.

Moraine Park Technical College  Planning Day for HS Juniors

On April 11 and 26, from 8:30 to 11:30,  high school juniros have the opportunity to visit up to four programs of their choosing, take a campus tour, interact with current students and learn about the admissions process at Moraine Park. Wisconsin Education Fairs 2018 Schedule

Wisconsin Education Fairs provide easy access to information about postsecondary options.  WEF includes in its participant list all UW state universities and centers, Wisconsin's independent colleges and universities, Wisconsin technical colleges, and many out-of-state institutions. In addition, many community colleges, trade schools, and the national service organizations, such as the armed forces are represented. All interested persons are invited to attend a Wisconsin Education Fair program. For information on all the dates and locations of these fairs visit WWW.WEFS.ORG.  Ones located close to us are:  Thursday September 20 in Sun Prairie, Tuesday September 25 in Fond du Lac, Wednesday September 26 in Oshkosh.
